The Institute for LGBT Studies is thrilled to welcome you to our virtual exhibition of LGBTQ+ artists as a part of this year’s Artistic InQUEERies series. This is our second time hosting this event and our first time doing so virtually. The goal of the Artistic InQUEERies exhibition is to provide a platform that centers LGBTQ+ artists and works to remove some of the barriers that often present marginalized individuals with challenges in presenting their work to the public.
As you move throughout the gallery you will notice that there is personalized contact information for each artist, which you can use to learn more about the artists, view other work of theirs, and continue to follow their artistic journey. If you are interested in purchasing one of the pieces that is for sale, you are welcome to reach out to the artists directly about purchasing the piece(s) you are interested in or to view more of their available art.
We are grateful for all the artists who participated in this year’s event, and we look forward to the day we can decorate the walls of a gallery again from floor to ceiling and wall to wall. Please join us for all of our Artistic InQUEERies events by getting more information and registering at http://lgbt.arizona.edu
This is a FREE event. The iLGBTS is excited to be hosting a meet and greet with the artists from our virtual art exhibition, which will be going live the same day! You can ask the artists questions about their creative processes, how to purchase their art, details about their art mediums, etc.
This is part of a series of LGBTQ+ art focused events. Please look at our event list or visit our website to get more information and register for our virtual drag show and virtual poetry reading too! https://lgbt.arizona.edu
