Jay Kyle Petersen is an intersex writer, artist, activist and trainer. His book A Comprehensive Guide To Intersex was published in 2021 by Jessica Kingsley Publisher London and Philadelphia. Jay’s painting career began in 1977 after he broke free from drug and alcohol addictions and among his many exhibits includes: Minneapolis Institute of Art, Minnesota Gallery; Museum of Contemporary Art, Tucson, and de Young Museum, San Francisco. Among his many donations of art include a shelter for trafficked women and children, domestic violence shelters and children’s neurology ward, Beijing China. Jay has been teaching Intersex 101 workshops in Arizona since 2015. He currently lives in Tucson, Arizona.
