Reed Coffey
They/them
Reed Coffey has spent the last fifteen years using oil paint to celebrate the natural world. Their interest in conservation unites their academic and artistic practices, and they hope to draw attention to the delicate ecosystems that need our unified efforts to preserve them for future generations. Through their use of vibrant colors, they capture how enraptured they feel when facing an expanse of desert, one of the oldest trees on the planet, or a dense forest. Their work invites the viewer to consider their place in the interconnectedness of nature and to go ahead and plan their next hike.
