Mapping Q

Mapping Q is a series of virtual art workshops for Arizona LGBTQIA+ youth ages 14-24.Participants explore topics of art-making, self-care and harm reduction.

During these virtual workshops we learn about LGBTQ+ artists and explore ideas like pride, radical self-care, identity and how to effectively complain (i.e., protest lack of positive representations of queer, BIPOC and disabled bodies in visual culture) through art making. The culmination of each series of workshops is an exhibition of youth artwork at the UAMA.
