Lucas Disalvo / Jackal Dandy

I am a Leather S&M bisexual trans audiovisual maker, illustrator, zine-maker, animator and teacher. I consider myself a crafter of fictions motivated by animistic and shapeshifting desires. and I have always been obsessed with the transformative contact with realities of an imaginary, multiple, contradictory, ambiguous and intangible nature. Surrealism was the first form of intuitive identification that I claimed for myself. I am currently working in watercolor illustration, sketching, experimental video and animation, combining occultism, metaphysics, gothic and sexual themes, leather s&m imagineries, punk and counterculture, historical anachronisms, automatic techniques and slapstick humor. I am an amateur at heart and I aim to use my obsessive passions in turn to create fantastic diegeses, spaces of derangement, reenchantment and to accompany leaps of faith.
